Nomination for Council Positions

At the AGM five (5) Office bearers & eight (8) ordinary members of the Council shall be elected.

Any financial Club member may be a candidate for a Council position if he/she is nominated & seconded by two financial Club members; and the nominated member gives his/her consent. Should a member who is not present at the AGM be nominated for a position, then to be eligible to stand, that member must have either given his/her consent in writing to the Secretary, or have delivered the written consent to the meeting (by means of another member) prior to his/her nomination. A member not in attendance at the AGM may nominate another member for a position by writing to the Secretary before the meeting and enclosing the nominee’s written consent.

Nomination can be done by email if the string of emails has original consent by each of Nominator, the Seconder and consent by Nominee and received by the Secretary,

It is helpful for Nominations or Notification of Nominations to be made to the Secretary in advance of the meeting.
