Introduction to the Branches
The ANARE Club originated, and is incorporated, in Victoria. Hence Victoria is the "National" Club Site.
The other states and territories are branches of the Club and receive a pro rata capitation based on the number of Club members in their Branch.
Although Melbourne is the Club's national site, the Club's National Council does not consist entirely of Victorian members - any member of the Club from any Branch may stand for election to Council.
The policies of the Club are decided by all members, and implemented through the National Council, but each Branch has the right to implement policies within their own state or territory.
They organise their own Midwinter dinners, which despite being a "Branch dinner" are open to all Club members, including those from interstate. They also organise their own social events.

The Branches' Web Pages
The Branches' web pages are accessible from this site but neither the content nor the format are prescribed by National Council - these are entirely the responsibility of the Branches. Hence, the format and type of content will vary from Branch to Branch and Council does not interfere unless a request for support is made.
Any comments regarding the Branches' pages should be directed to the Branch concerned.
