United Kingdom and Europe Midwinter Lunch
As may be recalled, an inaugural European-sector ANARE Club Mid Winter Dinner was held on Saturday 18 June 2011 to the SW of London with colleagues from the UK & Europe.
This year we plan to have a Mid Winter Lunch from approx 1230 on Saturday 23 June, again organised by Paul Gigg and Ian Thomas, as below, and their wives.
It will held in the UK outside of Milton Keynes in Northamptonshire. Again, partners / spouses are very welcome indeed.
We hope that by having a Lunch it will fit more easily with travel plans and, UK weather permitting, maybe even enjoy a quiet reminisce in the summer sunshine (!).
Paul and Ian would like to invite any ANARE Club Members who are resident in the UK / Europe, or planning to be in the North London area on Saturday 23 June, to consider joining in this get-together and celebration of our times working in Antarctica.
Costing has not been finalised but, for the drinks, but we think it is best if each person separately brings their own beers/wines etc – we’ll provide “softs”. It is envisaged that the menu will be buffet style and it will include a vegetarian option.
If any Club Member is interested in so participating, please contact Ian Thomas using this contact form by 1 May 2012.
If you are interested but cannot join us for the Midwinter Lunch this year, please also do respond and indicate such interest and your details will be retained in our records for next year.
