2012 Midwinter Dinners and Lunches
Midwinter dinners or, in some situations lunches, are held throughout Australia and, at times, overseas each year in the weeks each side of Midwinters day, 21 June.
This page shows the dinners of which the Club has been made aware; it also provides contact details for some locations that may not be having formal dinners but may be having informal functions - useful if you are travelling in the area at the time.
Some Club members may attend two or three dinners each year; naturally, this is dependent on the dates of the dinners.

Australian Dinners we have been Told About
The Melbourne dinner, also known as the National dinner because Melbourne is the home of the Club, was held on Friday 22 June at the Bayview Eden Hotel near Albert Lake. Information can be found at Melbourne, Victoria. There were about 90 attendees and photos of the dinner will be posted on this site in the next couple of days.
The sixth NSW Country dinner was held on Wednesday 20 June at the Royal Tara Motel and Convention Centre in Binalong page: Binalong NSW. If anybody has photos of the dinner that they would like posted on this site, please use the contact form to send them to the Webmaster.
Hobart, Tasmania links to the Tasmanian Branch web site. They held a dinner on Saturday 23 June at the Convention Centre on Elizabeth Street pier. 180 expeditioners, partners and friends attended and had a great time. A few photos will appear on this site in the next couple of days.
Saturday 23 June was also the date for the South Australian dinner. It was held at the Royal Coach Motor Inn and information may be found at the South Australian site: Adelaide SA. If anybody has photos of the dinner that they would like posted on this site, please use the contact form to send them to the Webmaster.
Canberra's dinner was held on Friday 29 June at the Woden Canberra Southern Cross Club and was attended by 49 guests.
Also on Friday 29 June was the Brisbane dinner at the Hotel Urban The Branch AGM was held at 18:00 and the dinner was at 18:30 for 19:00.
Saturday 30 June was the date for the Sydney dinner. It was held at the Epping Club and information is available on the NSW Branch website at Sydney NSW. David Ellyard, the President of the ANARE Club, gave the keynote talk describing his recent visit to Commonwealth Bay.
